Celebrating 30 Years of Enriching People's Lives

A belief shaped over 30 years
For over 30 years, Roundhouse has been designing and making spaces that enrich everyday life. Founded in 1996 on the belief that thoughtful, purposeful design can improve how people live, this principle continues to guide everything we do today.
Founded by architects Craig Matson and Victoria Marriott, Roundhouse’s approach is shaped by architectural thinking. A deep understanding of space, proportion and how a room is truly used allows us to create kitchens and furniture that feel resolved, relevant and enduring, grounded in principles that stand the test of time.

Architectural thinking and British craftsmanship
This thinking is brought to life through British craftsmanship. By designing and making under one roof at our purpose-built workshop in the Malvern Hills, and combining traditional skills with continually evolving techniques, our craftsmanship has been refined over time. Enhanced by modern manufacturing and technology, our work remains rooted in precision, material integrity and careful attention to detail.

A multi-award-winning British manufacturer
Over the years, Roundhouse has grown from a small Camden showroom into a multi-award-winning British manufacturer, designing and making bespoke kitchens and furniture from its Malvern-based manufacturing facility in Worcestershire. With over 100 employees and seven UK showrooms, we are recognised for creating spaces that are individual and designed around how people live.

Longevity proven over time
Many Roundhouse kitchens created over 25 years ago are still in daily use today. Their longevity reflects a consistent commitment to timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship and furniture made to endure.
Reflecting on the milestone, founder Craig Matson notes: “Many of our clients still love kitchens we made over 25 years ago. It reflects what Roundhouse stands for, purposeful design, British craftsmanship and longevity.”

A collaborative approach built on trust
Behind every project is genuine collaboration. Our designers work closely with clients, architects, interior designers, developers and contractors to understand priorities and shape solutions that feel right for the space and the people who use it. This collaborative approach sits at the heart of how we work and ensures each project feels personal, practical and built on trust.

Designing for what comes next
Thirty years of experience continues to shape how Roundhouse works today. The knowledge built over decades informs how we design, make and deliver, allowing us to respond thoughtfully to new ways of living, evolving technologies and changing client needs. As homes evolve, so do we, always guided by the belief that considerate design can enrich people’s lives.
