Factory education

Each year Roundhouse employs a cohort of product design students from Nottingham Trent University, who come to us for a year on work placement. In order to get to grips with how our bespoke kitchens and other furniture is made they visit the Roundhouse factory, nestling in the shadow of the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire.photo1
This year those who had not visited before, including some of our newer designers, members of the installation team and Grace, who Roundhouse sponsors on the new Kitchen Design foundation degree at Buckinghamshire New University, accompanied them. Also visiting the factory for the first time was Amy, our Kitchen Coach. Amy visits our clients after their bespoke kitchen has been installed to deliver a gift box and to explain how their new appliances work and how to take care of their new Roundhouse cabinetry and worksurfaces.photo 2
They’re all now fully conversant with the complete bespoke story – Roundhouse exam questions coming up!
