Maximising the minimum
Designing a kitchen can be more challenging when space is at a premium. A compact but beautifully designed kitchen we visited recently in North London is a good illustration of how a bespoke kitchen can overcome space issues. The owners of this modest kitchen needed plenty of storage, an area for a dining table and chairs and to accommodate all the regular kitchen appliances.
Their bespoke solution means that every inch of the space available was used. The clean, understated lines of the Urbo matt lacquer kitchen give a clutter-free aspect to the room – a narrower work surface on one side of the kitchen maintains the symmetry while still providing space for small appliances. White cabinetry maximises the light, a green colourblocked glass splashback introduces a pop of colour and textured tiles add interest to the walls.
