Roundhouse Design is delighted to announce that our Ashbury project has been shortlisted in the Kitchen Design – UK category at the SBID International Design Awards 2026.
Recognised internationally as one of the most prestigious awards in interior design, the SBID Awards celebrate outstanding creativity, technical excellence and innovation across the industry. This year, just 21 kitchens have been shortlisted in the Kitchen Design UK category.

A kitchen designed around modern family living
Designed as the centrepiece of a large family home, Ashbury brings the kitchen, living and dining areas together through a warm, contemporary palette and carefully considered architectural detailing.
Rough sawn limed oak cabinetry is paired with soft matt lacquer finishes in Cashmere Grey and Jojos White, creating a calm backdrop enriched by natural texture. Taj Mahal leathered quartzite and Cloudburst Concrete surfaces introduce depth and durability, while bespoke antique brass handrails and a powder-coated steel table frame add refined sculptural contrast.
Practicality is seamlessly integrated throughout the design, from tailored storage solutions to stone-clad sinks and a concealed utility door hidden within the cabinetry run, allowing everyday functionality to sit effortlessly within a beautifully resolved space.
The result is a bespoke kitchen that balances craftsmanship, materiality and functionality, designed to enrich family life for years to come.

Continuing a proud SBID journey
This latest shortlist continues Roundhouse’s longstanding relationship with the SBID International Design Awards.
Last year, Roundhouse received the prestigious Global Winner award in the Kitchen Design category 2025 for our Bulpitt project, recognising the very best kitchen design on the international stage.

The year before, our Hardings project was named Regional Winner – Kitchen Design UK at the SBID International Design Awards 2024, further recognising Roundhouse’s commitment to exceptional British design and craftsmanship.

We are incredibly proud to see Ashbury continue this legacy and wish all finalists the very best of luck.
