Roundhouse has talent!
Roundhouse is home to a number of design students each year who come to us from Nottingham Trent University to experience life at the sharp end of bespoke kitchen, furniture and product design. Over the past few years we’ve been very impressed with the calibre, commitment and creativity of those who have spent time working with us and a significant number have gone on to become permanent members of the Roundhouse team.
This year is no exception, so when Roundhouse Managing Director Craig asked Simon Farthing, one of this years intake, to come up with a design solution for a sink cover to be used in our newest concrete work surface, he jumped at the chance.
Simon designed a simple solution. A wooden board that slots neatly into the recess around the stainless steel sink, that can slide across to cover the sink, creating a chopping board for food preparation. The design is as stylish as it is practical and has already been used by one of London’s top chefs at a recent cookery demonstration held in our showroom.
It’s good to know that we can spot such emerging talent!
