September planning rules  – how to get ready for a new term

While we’re not saying a fond farewell to summer just yet, it’s never too early to get prepped for the new season. And there’s no better place to start than in your bespoke kitchen design. From new term planning (school and work!) to meal prep and life admin, today’s upmarket kitchen designs are the home’s multifunctional hot spot. So head to your luxury kitchen room and get ready for a smooth and streamlined September schedule.

Check out our simple tips to prepare for the Autumn months. Your roundhouse kitchen has never worked so hard…

Deep clean the kitchen

First things first: roll up your sleeves and give your kitchen design a deep clean. The end of summer is a fabulous time to scrub, scour and mop latest kitchen designs for an autumn refresh. Wipe down modern kitchen worktops, wash kitchen floors, and clean designer kitchen sinks so they sparkle and shine. Don’t forget to use the right cleaning products if you have a copper kitchen or modern brass taps. Make sure appliances are fully degreased (or call in the experts for an oven and hob overhaul). It’s also the best time to declutter bespoke kitchen cabinets and sort out your kitchen storage.

Create a desk space

Home and hybrid working is on the rise. In fact around 40% of us have cut out the daily commute and work from home. The key to a productive 9-5 without stepping outside the front door is creating a well-organised office space. And bespoke designer kitchens are the perfect WFH hub. From a hideaway desk in a pocket door kitchen cabinet to a floating desk drawer in a redundant alcove. There are so many options for your bespoke kitchen design if you need a chic and hardworking office zone. It’s also the ideal spot for kids to catch up on homework once the new school term kicks in. Let one of our roundhouse experts demonstrate the beauty of bespoke kitchens – for cooking, socialising and all your home working needs.

Meal planning

Relaxed meal times are one of the many plus points of the summer holidays. With no fixed school schedule, picnics and last-minute barbecues (weather pending!) all add up to a more laid-back cooking timetable. But with the new term looming, it’s a great idea to get out in your luxury kitchen design and plan family meal times. Batch cooking is foolproof way to cut down on meal time stress – and reduce food waste. So dedicate a day of cooking in in your luxurious kitchen design. Fill up the freezer with home cooked bakes and sauces that simply needs defrosting and reheating on the day. Your dining room and kitchen design will be a haven of calm and order – even when you’re juggling after school clubs and late nights at work.

Sort out new term admin

September will always feel like a new start. Sometimes, more so than the advent of a brand new year. Get your central heating serviced

It might have been a while since you switched on the central heating. But with warmer months on the wane, it’s important your heating is working properly for when chilly temperatures set in. So get your boiler serviced by a Gas Safe registered engineer today. It’ll ensure a cosy luxury kitchen design for the cooler seasons ahead. Don’t forget to bleed your radiators too. It’ll get rid of any air bubbles that might have developed which can cause cold spots in your heating system.
