Roundhouse presents Art Food 2014 @ London Design Festival

Roundhouse bespoke kitchens are built around the preparation and presentation of food in the most beautifully designed environment. We believe that each bespoke Roundhouse kitchen is marriage of art and craftsmanship and so we are the perfect partners to provide the space to display the ceramic entries to an international design competition Art Food 2014, as part of the upcoming London Design Festival.RH_7136_Print_CropArt Food, offers students the opportunity to explore the possibilities of re-defining tableware and challenges chefs to present food in an entirely new and innovative manner and we are very pleased that Gaggenau is joining us to support the launch event, which will involve art food cooking on Gaggenau appliances. Among the work from Central Saint Martins BA Ceramic Design course with collaboration from Pratt Institute, Art and Design Department, New York, USA, and The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland, is Bridgette Chan’s beautiful sculptural plates and Amanda Tong’s small bowls.  The project is supported by Roundhouse, Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Cmielow Porcelain, Poland.
Roundhouse takes every opportunity to support British based young designers and photographers and we asked a young graduate from Falmouth School of Art,  Andy Price, http://www.thatsnotthespirit.co.uk who has a novel approach to still life to take photographs of some of the featured work.AX0A7188_LR
